For our first day: Shabbat with Family!DAY 2.  Spur-winged Plover at Tel Be'er ShevaA World Heritage Site.  This site dates back to biblical times and excavation indicates it was inhabited as far back as 4,000 years BCE.Camels - near a wadi across from Tel Ber ShevaAncient gate to Tel Be'er Sheva.  The snake-like line in the wall indicates where original structure:  everything below this line) meets restored structure everything above this line.Section of a four-room house.Entrance to reservoir.Entering the underground water storage reservoir.  Hard hats required.  Light levels were too low for me to photograph the reservoirs carved out of the rock.DAY 3.  Jeep tour of the Tsin Valley.Gorgeous chalk cliffs in the desertEntrance to a cave in Wadi AvdatWe enter the ancient Chalcolithic cave site.A large mushroom blooms in the caveI showed this photograph to a mycologist here in the states. He told me these mushrooms are edible and delicious.Sage plant
